28th December 2018: Wolfenstein 3D: The Claw of Eisenfaust released
AstroCreep has released ‘The Claw of Eisenfaust’. More or less a port of the SNES version of Wolfenstein 3D, the set is an ECWolf mod and relies on Woolie Wool (Executor)’s maps from ‘Second Encounter’. Optional OGG Vorbis music from the original SNES version can also be selected. Later updated in May 2019 and September 2020.


24th December 2018: Hitler’s Graveyard for ECWolf released
AstroCreep has ported Laz Rojas’ 1996 Mac scenario ‘Hitler’s Graveyard’ to ECWolf. Some sounds have been changed from the original set as they contained glitches, and IMF music files have been added from Andy Nonymous’ Mac-enstein sets. The atmosphere is dark and gloomy and features a particularly nasty looking skull SS. 30 levels are featured.


11th December 2018: Die, Himmler, Die! for ECWolf released
AstroCreep has ported one of Laz Rojas’ old Mac scenarios, 2002’s ‘Die, Himmler, Die!’ to ECWolf. 10 new levels and many new graphics and sounds are featured. AstroCreep has changed a few things around but mostly the set remains very true to Rojas’ original set.


4th December 2018: Frantic Passages released
Thomas Weiling returns after a three-year absence! ‘Frantic Passages’ is an SDL mod with 17 new levels and features quite a varied color scheme. Coding was undertaken by AlumiuN and includes changes to floor- and ceiling colors, the ammo box from Spear of Destiny and a host of other changes.


27th November 2018: Armageddon 2 released
Officer-Michael John has released ‘Armageddon 2’. A tribute to Barry Christian’s ‘Armageddon’ from 1999, the set features many changed graphics and sounds and rely somewhat more on Wolf Skevos-Jones’ ideas than those of Barry Christian. coding changes such as textured floors and ceilings and in-game messages. DOS only.


26th November 2018: Kurlandfront updated
Tris has updated ‘Kurlandfront’ which is now v1.1. Some mapping bugs have been fixed, and some other functionality issues have been addressed.


24th November 2018: Project Vertilgung’s Manouvre released
Officer-Michael John has released the final version of ‘Project Vertilgung’s Manouvre’ which came out in beta form last year. A tribute to the original ‘Projekt: Vertilgung’ by Zach Higgins, the set features numerous coding changes such as textured floors and ceilings and extra added weapons. DOS only.


23rd November 2018: Mountain Jazz released
PaquoCastor has released ‘Mountain Jazz’ for ECWolf. Only one level, but a rather large one that evokes feelings of open skies due to its baby blue ceiling color.


21st November 2018: The Old Relics released
Officer-Michael John has released the final version of 2016’s ‘The Old Relics’. Taking on a horror theme of sorts, the audiovisual atmosphere is quite reminiscent of classic Wolf Skevos-Jones efforts or more recent projects by Mega Luigi & Mario Maniac.


14th November 2018: Wolfenstein 3D: The Old School released
Steven Johnson has made a mapset for shareware Wolfenstein. ‘Wolfenstein 3D: The Old School’ features 6 new levels and a new title screen. There are no other changes. Very much in style with the original Episode 1.


5th November 2018: Rest in Peace John Bucksnort Tribute Mod released
Officer-Michael John has updated his tribute set to John Bucksnort. This is the final version. The set features many graphics and sounds that were lifted from some of John’s old mods. Coding changes include extra added enemies and static objects and seamless level flow. 10 levels are featured. DOS only.


30th October 2018: The Big Fight Beginning released
Officer-Michael John has released the final version of ‘The Big Fight Beginning’. 20 levels are now featured, spread across two episodes. Coding changes include weather effects, multiple textured floors and ceilings, timer display and extra added weapons.


27th September 2018: Wolfenstein 3D – Fourth Encounter released
Orka has released his first mod for EC/LZWolf. ‘Fourth Encounter’ features 30 levels spread across three episodes and changes to graphics and brand new music. Extra added enemies brandishing flame throwers and rocket launchers are also featured. Very much in the classic Wolfenstein 3D vein it is a very enjoyable set.


18th September 2018: Brutal Death Dealer of Annihilation SDL released
Kary has released the SDL version of ‘Brutal Death Dealer of Annihilation’. Released as a DOS mod in 2016, it is a horror-themed mod where the player is treated to blood, gore, bones, axes, shotguns and zombies in a wash of blood and discomfort. Quite an experience! Updated 4th October 2018.


15th September 2018: SoD Extreme – Eisenfaust Edition released
Team Raycast have now also given ‘SoD Extreme’ a fabulous makeover! Its sequel got the ‘Eisenfaust’ treatment in January and now the time has come for the original set. This ‘Eisenfaust Edition’ includes even more features, breakable items and enemies that surprise you by rolling on the floor, ducking for cover and faking death. A very extensive experience.


7th September 2018: Operation: Gral released
Havoc (René N.) and Metal Overlord (Marcus S.) have released a follow-up to 2005’s ‘TGOEL’ – ‘Operation: Gral’. More than a decade in the making, the mod features numerous coding changes such as outside atmosphere, multiple textured floors and ceilings, different enemy- and weapon behavior and many others. There is a brand new status bar as well and mapping is at times quite hectic. Looks quite slick.


9th August 2018: The Golden Parrot screenshots
Two more screenshots from ‘The Golden Parrot’, this time featuring interactive characters and the familiar SS now sporting a colorful buccaneer outfit!


22nd July 2018: Kurlandfront released
Tris has released his first mod in seventeen years! In collaboration with Ronwolf1705, ‘Kurlandfront’ features 15 levels and numerous coding changes such as multiple textured floors and ceilings, 128×128 graphics, extra added weapons and a brand new status bar. The realistic atmosphere ties in well with the storyline, which concerns Latvia during World War II, more particular the area known as Courland (Kurland in German). Updated 26th November 2018.


14th July 2018: YASHHER released
TEPA6ANT has released a demo entitled ‘YASHHER’. A somewhat futuristic set for ECWolf. Six maps are featured, though more maps may be added later.


30th June 2018: Wolf 3D Carneval Mod released
Officer-Michael John has updated last year’s beta ‘Wolf 3D Carneval Mod’, now the final version. Meant to evoke a festive feeling, it features numerous coding changes, including increased health and ammo, in-game messages and new weapons.


7th May 2018: Down released
Military has released a new demo entitled ‘Down’. It features 5 levels and coding changes include raised enemy- and static object limit, extra added enemies and level names displayed both when entering and exiting the level. As the title indicates, the player goes further down once a level has been completed, with the floors well into negative numbers! Quite a good set.


5th April 2018: WatermelonPL’s Wolf3D Mission Pack released
WatermelonPL has made one new level for registered Wolfenstein. There are many large and open spaces. May be extended further.


2nd April 2018: Extreme Wolfenstein updated
Sigma64 has updated last year’s ‘Extreme Wolfenstein’. The pallette has been changed, more enemies have been added (from DOOM) and extra weapons make for quite a bloody experience. For ECWolf.


24th March 2018: Mode Pack released
Officer-Michael John has released ‘Mode Pack’. 10 new levels are featured and a host of coding changes include extra added objects, a new enemy, extra added weapons with separate ammo, multiple textured floors and ceilings and in-game messages. Bundled with definition files, the set is meant to be used as a developer kit for future modders. DOS only.


28th February 2018: Mapping League #1 released
The DieHard Wolfers team have released ‘Mapping League #1’. Following in the footsteps of ‘Map of the Month’ there are 11 new levels made by various contributors, including Ronwolf1705, Arielus, Officer-Michael John, Nexion and Atina. Quite a varied set!


23rd February 2018: The Coming of Death 2 released
Officer-Michael John has released a sequel to last week’s ‘The Coming of Death’. Featuring 2 new levels, it uses the Spear demo but some changes have been made to the code via Hex editing. New graphics and sounds are featured.


22nd February 2018: Woof3d released
Here’s a funny one. Rather than shooting the dogs, the protagonist now get to pet them until they fall asleep. Only a few graphics have been changed, and more dogs added to already existing maps. Uses registered Wolfenstein v1.1 and may not work with other versions.


21st February 2018: Smert released
RussianStorm has released her first mapset, ‘Smert’. 3 levels are featured. Enemies are only featured on the I Am Death Incarnate! skill.


18th February 2018: The Coming of Death released
Officer-Michael John has released ‘The Coming of Death’. Featuring 10 new levels, it uses shareware Wolfenstein but nevertheless features some changes to the code done via Hex editing. New graphics and sounds are featured. Looks slightly foreboding, featuring ghost dogs!


3rd February 2018: Shadow Ragers announced
M2 Software have announced ‘Shadow Ragers’. Looks quite ambitious. Turn up the brightness and enjoy these screenshots depicting a condemned area, a smartphone to navigate and a hungry looking bat.


16th January 2018: Wolf-Extra Ultimate released
Poet has released another installment in the legendary Wolf-Extra series! Only one level, it is nevertheless a large and challenging one called ‘Wolf-Extra Ultimate’.


15th January 2018: SoD Extreme II – Eisenfaust Edition released
Team Raycast has given ‘SoD Extreme II’ a fabulous makeover. This ‘Eisenfaust Edition’ includes even more features, breakable items and enemies that surprise you by rolling on the floor, ducking for cover and faking death. Quite a vicious set!


14th January 2018: Spear of Brutality announced
WLHack has announced a new mod. ‘Spear of Brutality’ is inspired by the latest ‘Brutal’ series with extra added gore and a much larger arsenal of weapons. Most of the graphics have been finished.

Another set, ‘The Experimence’, has also been announced. Unlike ‘Spear of Brutality’, WLHack mentioned that this mod would be shorter in length and feature a storyline with Doctor Schabbs.
