18th December 2024: Crumbling Dream released
More than twenty years after its initial announcement, the community effort ‘Crumbling Dream’ is finally here! Curated by Tris, the many contributors include Ronwolf1705, Orka, Shodan, Nexion, Wolf3DGuy, Thomas Weiling, Gerolf, Orange, Penguindog55 and Justy Zam. Many new graphics and sounds are featured, and the many coding changes include a new palette and a totally redesigned, sparse and modern status bar. 20 maps are featured of which 2 are secret. For SDL.

 


1st December 2024: Medal of Honor: Midnight Assault released
TreeSapThief has finally released ‘Medal of Honor: Midnight Assault’! Stretching all the way back to 2006, the mod has been through many long breaks and changes and is now ready. It is quite an ambitious set with many coding features, offering quite a realistic gameplay. Eschewing a German theme, the mod instead takes place fighting the Japanese during the Pacific Theatre in World War II. 26 maps are featured all in all, with sounds and music being externally sourced and in high definition. Dynamic lighting, mission logs, parallax skies, a totally redesigned status bar, animated objects and many, many more features are included. Looks quite riveting! For SDL.


4th November 2024: Sensenmann 2 released
The latest set from Thomas Weiling is ‘Sensenmann 2’. Somewhat an atypical departure, it is an add-on for the legendary 2004 horror mod ‘Sensenmann’ and features 6 new maps. Some graphics and sounds have been changed, and new music is featured. You play as the Grim Reaper himself! DOS only.


23rd October 2024: Halloween Candy Pack released
Falcon93 has collected a series of horror-themed small mods in one set, the ‘Halloween Candy Pack’. It features the mods ‘SS Temple’, ‘Watchtower’, ‘Assassination at Wolfsangel’ and the two previously released sets ‘Spooky 3D’ and ‘Maiz Maze’. Comes equipped with both DOS and SDL files.


20th October 2024: Icons of Chaos released
The Try Hard Wolfers team has released ‘Icons of Chaos’ which features a gameplay that envisions the map editor in ChaosEdit in 3D. The player will traverse a black grid and battle various tiles and arrows. Comes bundled with editor. DOS only.


17th October 2024: Lost Days released
Ozeki has released ‘Lost Days’ for LZWolf. It features 31 maps in an original-type atmosphere though the ammo box from Spear of Destiny and a host of new graphics are also featured.


14th October 2024: Bootleg Castle 3D released
Here’s an ECWolf mod from Creator (no, not the mapping tool!) called ‘Bootleg Castle 3D’. It features 4 maps and a number of new graphics and sounds.


12th September 2024: Mungfunger 2 released
A collaborative effort for LZWolf has just been released – ‘Mungfunger 2’. It is a map set though some new graphics, sounds and music appear. Contributors include Justy Zam, Dunkelschwamm, Zombie and Executor. 7 maps in all.


4th September 2024: Clusterfuck released
Here’s an interesting collaborative effort curated by Atina. ‘Clusterfuck’ brings together the work of nine different individuals, whose contributions were made piece by piece. The maps have been pieced together from one round of adding textures, then adding enemies, then adding objects and so on. Alongside Atina contributors include Nexion, Serpens, AstroCreep, Gerolf, Orka, Thomas Weiling, MrWolfForever and Falcon93. Quite a different approach to making a mod! For SDL.


19th August 2024: Escape from Castle Wolfenstein Remastered released
Speaking of flats, here’s a funny one from Hydropolis. This ECWolf set features some extra added tasteful flats to the first episode of Wolfenstein 3D, along with BJ Blazkowicz actually exiting the castle after defeating Hans Grosse.


18th August 2024: Ecwolf_flats released
This was recently posted on Doomworld. Wolfenstein 3D with extra added floor- and ceiling texture flats. Features both standard and high definition. Made by NightFright. For ECWolf.


3rd August 2024: Krankenstein Klinik released
Vincent has released ‘Krankenstein Klinik’! 22 maps are featured and many new sounds and graphics appear, though some of these have previously been seen in other installments of the long-running Krankenstein franchise. The EXE is based on the 2018 mod ‘Operation: Gral’ and retains most of that mod’s code, music, VGA and other things but there are many new ideas present still. For SDL. Updated 3rd February 2026.


2nd August 2024: Forsaken released
Tris and Ronwolf1705 have released ‘Forsaken’. It features 10 new maps and many new graphics and sounds. Together with the sounds, the music is sourced externally and is in high definition. The premise of the mod is the Spear mission packs (SOD2/SOD3) with extra effort. Looks quite tasteful. For SDL.


19th July 2024: Short Notice released
This new mod features just 3 maps. Only map files are included in the download. Nonetheless, the author, IcyFruit, recommends using SDL in order for the maps to display properly.


13th July 2024: Bunker 1945 released
ErickyxN13 has released ‘Bunker 1945’ which features 3 new maps and some new graphics. For LZWolf.


6th July 2024: Infiltrating the Castles released
Gaumenschmaus has released ‘Infiltrating the Castles’ for LZWolf. It features 12 new maps spread across three episodes. Many graphics have been changed and sounds and music is likewise also new and in high definition.


27th May 2024: Steinwolf 3D – The Way IT Did released
Here’s another ray of sunshine from the Try Hard Wolfers team. Somewhat more classically inclined than experimental, this set features an alternate universe idea of Wolf3D, its features and audiovisual atmosphere and even its protagonist. 6 maps are featured. Looks like a lot of fun. DOS only.


23rd May 2024: Death Trap released
Thomas Weiling has released another DOS mod, ‘Death Trap’. Based on ‘Wolfenstein Collection’ the set features new graphics and sounds and 12 maps, two of which are secret.


18th May 2024: Mein Leben! released
Cabo Fiambre has released ‘Mein Leben!’. It features 5 maps and a handful of new graphics. The music and AdLib sound effects have also been changed. DOS only.


12th May 2024: DOS Game Club Level Pack released
Here’s an interesting find from the DOS Game Club. This set features 8 maps with each of them depicting a different game. DOOM certainly looks rather DOOM-y! By TigerQuoll. DOS only.


9th April 2024: Project: Liftwaffe released
Here’s a funny one from Orka. ‘Project Liftwaffe’ has a number of interesting coding changes and many new graphics and sounds. 5 maps are featured. Quite an interesting ride! For SDL.

 


24th March 2024: Corridors of Madness released
The latest set from Thomas Weiling is ‘Corridors of Madness’, a DOS mod. It features 22 maps and a number of new graphics and sounds. The coding actually dates from 2006 as it uses the same base as the mod ‘Quest for the General’, compiled by Dean Horton. 

 


26th January 2024: Super Shareware Wolf II: The Extra Levels released
Cabo Fiambre has released an add-on to Orka’s mod from last year, ‘Super Shareware Wolf: The Lost Levels’. 10 new maps are featured. Comes with DOS EXE but can also be played in SDL.


24th January 2024: Noah’s Big Bottle of Jam released
Here’s a collaborative map set for Super 3D Noah’s Ark. There are simply too few of these around. Using the ECWolf engine, the various maps were contributed by Hydropolis (who also organized the set), Zombie, MAN.pk3 and Mizuki. Quite the sandwich!


22nd January 2024: Not So Gretel released
Tris & Thomas Weiling have teamed up for ‘Not So Gretel’, which features 10 maps and many new graphics. Gretel Grosse is the final boss, and as such the new graphics have a colorful and girly sheen. A new palette is also featured, adding even more color to the premise. For SDL.


8th January 2024: Nein! released
Ozeki has released ‘Nein!’. It features 10 new maps and a few new graphics, very much in the original style. Looks like quite a good set. For ECWolf.
