14th December 2025: Where the Fuck Am I released
This recent community effort sets about to confuse Atina and her famous navigation skills. All maps were designed with the only purpose in mind to be as maze-like, confusing and hard to maneuver in as possible. Though a map set in spirit, coding changes are featured, including an interactive auto-map and a small info box counter to keep track of pushwalls and treasure pickups. 11 maps are featured, including one made by Atina herself. Handle with care! For SDL.
18th November 2025: Escape from Castle Höllschrei released
Death Knight Adrian has released a shareware set called ‘Escape from Castle Höllschrei’. Very much leaning against the original shareware set, it features 10 maps in a Mac-type atmosphere. DOS only.
13th November 2025: Rustic Charm released
Thomas Weiling has released ‘Rustic Charm’. Using Wolf3D shareware v1.0, the set is a DOS mod but nevertheless includes mutants, Adolf Hitler, officers and numerous other things that apparently were already in place for this very early version of Wolf3D even if their sounds weren’t! 8 maps are featured.
16th October 2025: The Fall of Angkar released
Zanu_AF has released ‘The Fall of Angkar’. Quite an ambitious set, it swaps Wolf3D’s World War II atmosphere for the environment of Vietnam and Cambodia at war with each other. 6 maps are featured and many new graphics and sounds are included. For LZWolf.
1st October 2025: Laichenstein 3D released
Here’s a set from YourAverageStickman. ‘Laichenstein’ takes its influence from the Roblox universe and has 60 new maps, though these were all Creator-generated. Some coding changes are present, however. DOS only.

Death Knight Adrian has released ‘Heretic: Saranda’. Using the shareware version of Wolf3D, 10 new maps are featured and the atmosphere from Heretic is well represented. It is not often this great game gets a chance to shine in a Wolf3D environment! DOS only.

Cabo Fiambre has released a map set for Wolf3DGuy’s 2020 set ‘Wolfenstein 3D The Second Encounter’. 3 new maps are featured along with a handful of new graphics. Looks pretty good. DOS only.
10th July 2025: SOD Haven Style – Ultra Hardcore Version released
Vladko has released an edited version of Dark_Wizzie’s 2010 set ‘SOD Haven Style’, which was quite an extensive, difficult set – however, this version features many extra added enemies! Quite the slaughter. SDL only.
25th June 2025: Retribution of the Overlord released
Joe Monaghan has released ‘Retribution of the Overlord’. It features 28 maps and coding changes include textured floors and ceilings, 64+ walls, in-game messages and additional weapons. For SDL.
24th June 2025: The Submarine released
User6 has released ‘The Submarine’. It features only 2 maps but both are designed with the hectic, compact and intense design of a submarine.
24th June 2025: DHW MMC Spring 2025 released
It’s finally here! After many years in the wild, Gerolf has taken the reins of the legendary DieHard Wolfers’ Map of the Month contest. 6 new maps are featured by various authors, as of yet unnamed. The feature-heavy EXE assures that each map will more or less be a different experience all of its own. For SDL.
22nd June 2025: Spear Creation released
Megaandy has released ‘Spear Creation’ for LZWolf. Interestingly, this set features episode selection within Spear of Destiny! New features include chaingun turrets, damaging Tesla coils, increased health and ammo and various other changes. 30 maps are featured spread across three episodes.
30th May 2025: The Golden Parrot: Against All Flags v2.2 released
Fraggeur has updated ‘The Golden Parrot: Against All Flags’. Originally released in December 2023, the set now features an additional episode’s worth of 10 maps (totaling 40 maps in all), and includes many more features such as extra characters, the protagonist being able to steal and many more interactive schemes more akin to an adventure game just as much as a 3D shooter. Really interesting! SDL only.
1st April 2025: UR a Hero released
Justy Zam has released a new micro-mod, the first for some time. ‘UR a Hero’ features 3 new maps and a handful of audiovisual changes. For SDL.
13th March 2025: Rising Thunder released
ReddimusVonAggrevatii has released ‘Rising Thunder’. An SDL mod, it features many new graphics and sounds, a totally redesigned menu and status bar and many new and interesting angles on enemy combat. Taking its clue from a Miami Vice-type atmosphere inspired by Hotline Miami, a 2012 top-down shooter, the set is quite unlike anything else in Wolf3D. Quite a fun and challenging ride! 10 maps are featured.
5th February 2025: Kill All da Klan released
fu-deus has released ‘Kill All da Klan’, a DOS mod using the shareware version of Wolf3D. It features BJ Blazkowicz being replaced by a black man, taking on the Ku Klux Klan. Quite a change of pace!
3rd February 2025: Trench Wallfare released
The latest bunch of shenanigans from the Try Hard Wolfers team is ‘Trench Wallfare’. BJ now sports a pickax going through trenches, and the set involves quite a lot of digging. Many new graphics support this interesting new approach which features 8 maps. Demands a lot of thought! DOS only.
