27th July 2017: Team Raycast looking for mapper
Doomjedi of Team Raycast is actively seeking new members for the team. Says doomjedi, “If you like “Team RayCast” and what TR has done so far, if you are ready to be a “team player” (and not “lone modder”), if you’re (proven) good in oldschool mapping and want to try more advanced engines/mapping – write me. Obviously I’m a bit picky here to keep team’s modding quality, and so I want an established/experienced community mapper. Oldschool mapping experience is enough as long as you are ready to also try/learn something new and advanced. We even have oldschool mod option as well in development if that would be a more comfortable start before jumping deep into advanced engines.”

28th February 2017: Episode 1 Original With Alpha Intercourse released
Here’s an interesting experiment. The alpha version of Wolfenstein 3D had notable areas of maps that were not featured in the final 1992 release, but here they resurface together with a host of coding changes. One could argue that, had id thought it sufficient, this usage of floor- and ceiling textures might have fit in rather nicely. A very interesting idea on the eve of Wolfenstein 3D’s 25th anniversary. By AryanWolf3D in collaboration with Chris Chokan. DOS only.

8th January 2017: March of the Army Final Version released
Military has updated last year’s ‘March of the Army’. Now featuring 60 levels and even more features, a lot of graphics and sounds have been updated too. Taking on a more modern, urban theme, the set still pays its respect to the original atmosphere somehow. 2017 is off to a good start!
